TXT record

Hi, I am using zone runner to create a TXT record in GTM. I was given xyz.com to use for the record name . Can I use the xyz.com under zone(abc.com), as the final record name becomes xyz.com.abc.com...

So can we remove the trailing zone name(abc.com) and just give xyz.com in the TXT record name.
