Turning off response buffering for a given path with an Irule

I have been researching how to turn off "response buffering" with an Irule and I guess its not as simple as I would have thought. The buffering is preventing the browser from using ServerSentEvents to maintain an always-on-long-live connection.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
