Aug 18, 2008Traffic Reporting on LTM
LTM 1500 running Version 9.4.3.
Although we have the VS and Nodes stats showing current connections and maximum connections. Is it possible to extract this data into graphical format and perform proper MIS reporting ?
IS there a tool or application capable of doing this ?
Thanks.

Have a look at Cacti. It'll pull the stats for you & save them in RRA's to peruse at your pleasure. Not sure what you'd consider proper MIS reporting though. Although if you look at CactiEZ it's got a reporting module in there if you write the templates yourself.
See the thread Click here for the F5 templates for Cacti.

Cacti is open source. You can get the CactiEZ virtual appliance from vmware, or you can follow this tech tip if you want to install the packages yourself:

You'll still need the article for the F5 specific configuration if you choose CactiEZ. - Geoff_Littlewoo

From what I have read this is a Linux/UNIX based application only ? - JRahm

Actually, there are packages for windows as well. Check the cacti documentation:

Hi,
To view the Node and VS stats in graphical format you can use good Network monitoring tool "Patrol DashBoard" from BMC software. It will also generate reports(Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly). It supports almost all type of devices which are SNMP enabled.
Thanks & Regards,

Hello Anuradha,
I'm in the process of implementing "Patrol Dashboard" with integration to "Patrol Central" using Oracle database.
Any advice, gotchas or tips?
Thanks,
Oludare
