I have a question about what would happen if I remove the 0.0.0.0/0 Data Center rule in my Topology Records.
I have two rules for internal hosts to ensure they query the local GTM, however, at some point F5 told me I should have the 0.0.0.0/0 record pointing to one DC or the other.
However, I see that external traffic heavily leans toward that data center, even though I have other (QOS, Round Robin) load balancing methods in place, but usually have topology as a fall though method.
I suspect that traffic is failing the other methods for one reason or another, and are falling through to topology. I don't want my external traffic defaulting to one DC or the other, so if I remove the default topology rule, what happens?
My setup is below; and again, x and y are internal addresses.
IP Subnet is x.x.x.x/x Data Center is X 200
IP Subnet is y.y.y.y/y Data Center is Y 200
IP Subnet is 0.0.0.0/0 Data Center is X 100
Thanks,
Greg

if you take out the 0.0.0.0/0 then if the other 2 don't match up then it falls through the topology. At that point the GTM will look at the fall back Load balancing method if you have one.
