TMSH
Only thing left is that your user does not have the privileges to issue that command or view the list.

Admin has full access so no issue there.
Were you able to view the bigip.conf file to see if it contains pools/virtuals, etc? From bash: less /config/bigip.conf.
Have you created any additional administrative partitions? Your tmsh commands are display objects in /Common partition only. From tmsh: list /auth partition to display all partitions on bigip. - David_adasha_30May 03, 2017

I have another partition, so I'm assuming that is the problem. do I need to switch to the active partition and then do those commands? is it possible ?

the issue has been resolved. I had to switch to the active partition by: 1 - list /auth partition 2 - cd /(Active_Partition)
and then I'm able to do all the tmsh commands.
thank you eveyone!

Yes switch partitions. In tmsh: cd /partition_name
You should see in the tmsh prompt the new partition path where previously it showed /Common. Then try the list commands.
Alternate method from the /Commmon partition in tmsh you can enter: list /ltm pool /other_partition_name/* .
Keep in mind all object names are case sensitive. - David_adasha_30May 03, 2017
