Telnet as a Monitor

Hi,   ¿It's possible to monitor other port than default telnet by telnet?   So ie, telnet website over 80 port, if open or get responsd its alive.   Maybe only tcp probe over 80?   Tha...

Why not use a simple TCP monitor on port 80 ? Is there a functionality that you are looking to implement that is not provided by the simple TCP monitor ?
