Tcpdump and route domains?
Hi,
I have configured 2 route domains on my bigip pair (LTM 3900 - v11.2 Build 2557). For troubleshooting purposes I took some network traces from networks which belong to the second route domain.
I analysed the traces with wireshark and saw in each line "ETHERNET FRAME CHECK SEQUENCE INCORRECT" as error. I checked the inbound (firewall) and outbound connection (internet router) via traces and mirror ports and wasn't able to find a failure. Also the traffic is working fine.
My suspicion is now that tcpdump has some problems with tracing route domains. Changing the route domain with rdsh ore executing the command with rdexec hasn't worked - in that case I don't catch any traffic.
Any idea?
Thanks Daniel

Have you checked with F5 support?

tcpdump is fine with route domains. I use it all the time, and without getting frame check-sequence errors.
