tcp dumps
fyi the info inside () wasn't used tcpdump -ni 0.0:nnn -s0 -w /var/tmp/name.pcap (client_mydesk)host 10.2.1.122 or host (vs) 172.18.70.x or (nodes) host 172.16.90.51 or host 172.16.90.52
I was hoping to capture the traffic from the Client to VS and VS to host. I was thinking i would see the my pc speaking to 172.18.70 .x (the VS).
when i did the tcp dump i was only seeing traffic for 172.16.90.51 the host traffic.
Any suggestions.

Try this:
tcpdump -nni 0.0:np -s0 host 172.16.90.51
Should show both the client -> virtual server traffic as well as the BIG-IP -> server traffic.
