synchronize_configuration as Operator

Is it possible to call synchronize_configuration as an Operator or will this require Administrative privileges? When I do call this method as an Operator, I get an Access Denied:     User "" is...

You'll have to be an Administrator to be able to call ConfigSync::synchronize_configuration.
