Suggestion for a Monitor for nodes running apache solr
I am trying to find a good monitor on the f5 for some nodes i have which run apache solr for search...
I was playing around with an HTTP monitor, where I put in Send String http://hostname:port/SolrContext/admin/ (is that GET /SolrContext/admin\r\n\r\n?), then look for a Receive string like [SCHEMA].
However, i'm trying to find something that really checks the app health. If I put this in a browser: http://hostname:port/SolrContext/select/?q=love&version=2.2&start=0&rows=10&indent=on
I get this XML back (and more): 0 0 on 0 love 2.2 10
But the check doesn't work in the above scenario with this Send String: GET /SolrContext/select/?q=love&version=2.2&start=0&rows=10&indent=on
..and this Receive String:
I think i'm missing proper syntax here being new to custom monitors

Try this send string:
GET /SolrContext/select/?q=love&version=2.2&start=0&rows=10&indent=on HTTP/1.1\r\n\r\nHost: BIG-IP\r\nConnection: Close\r\n\r\n
