Stategy to filter BIG-IP health monitor GETs from Apache/Tomcat logs?

For Apache I found SetEnvif, e.g.:

 

 

SetEnvif Remote_Addr [regex] dontlog

 

 

CustomLog logs/access_log combined env=!dontlog

 

 

Still searching for Tomcat solution...
