Since HTTP is a Layer 7 protocol, you need to decrypt SSL on load balancer to be able to do HTTP redirect. Without an HTTP profile, you cannot use HTTP events in LTM policy or iRule. If you don't add an SSL profile in an SSL service with an HTTP profile, reset packets occur.
