Solution for answering DNS queries hosted on the GTM.

Let me give a background of what we are looking for.

We essentially have 2 IP address for a application whcih are served out of the GTM device and this application resides in our Data Center. The external DNS server has NS records pointing to the GTM boxes.

These IP addresses work in a Active/Backup manner i.e. when the Primary Data Center that particular IP address is served and when the Backup Data Center takes over the other IP address is served.

New customers sometimes allow only the Primary IP to be allowed on their corporate firewalls and start complaining when the Backup Data center takes over.

Typically this happens once a year but it is a pain. :-)

Does anyone have some solution to this? I know it is probably a difficult scenario.

Note that when the primary Data Center is shut down it will also not advertise IP addresses to the Internet.
