SOA integration with clients

we have a desktop client software that communicates to our SOA services. the client should access the server through the internet over a firepass device. the client has the credentials (username / password) and can submit it to the firepass. how can we access our servcices without installing custom software on the client?

 

 

since this scenario is available for html based applications running in the browser I am sure it must be possible for SOAP messages to go through the firepass if the user was authenticated. How do we configure that? What do we need?
