SNMPv3 Configuration for Solarwind
Hello All, I want to configure the F5 LTM SNMPv3 with Solarwinds can any one provide me a step by step guide to configure SNMPv3 of F5 for Solarwinds.
Hello humi,
I think you must set here: System ›› SNMP : Agent : Configuration
the IP for Solarwinds,
and then to set here: System ›› SNMP : Agent : Access (v3)
the other stuff regarding the settings in Solarwinds plus
OID = .1.3.6.1
I hope this will help.
Regards,
Preslav

System > SNMP > Agent > Configuration Add your SolarWinds IP as the host and click add. This will whitelist that SNMP server to probe the F5.
System > SNMP > Agent > Access (v3) Create > Username an Auth/Priv information. OID: .1
Network > Self IPs > Your incoming interface for SNMP > Verify "Allow Default" is allowed on the port lock down, otherwise add SNMP service to the port list with "Allow Custom"

From the link https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K13625
OIDNot ApplicableSpecifies the object identifier for this SNMPv3 access record. This provides access restriction to a specific OID, or OID tree. Setting the OID to .1 allows access to all OIDs on the device.
