SNMP Alert Interface

Can someone explain what determines what interface SNMP Alerts will use?

 

 

Is there a good document that explains this? I have been looking at Devcentral and AskF5.

 

 

We have an LTM that is "inline" in our DMZ. We would like to send SNMP traps to our HP openview platform

    This was the solution:

     

     

    F5 Networks recommends adding static routes for management traffic whose destination does not match the network of the management default gateway. This configuration is useful when handling SNMP traffic that is directed to an SNMP Manager that resides on another network that is only accessible through the management network.
