Sizing for BIG IP appliance

Hi,

IF I need to have about 5000 simultaneous connections https open, what BIG IP model I should choose? 4000S or 4200V ?

What parameters should I look into the specs: l7 request per second / l4 connections per second / L4 http requests per scond ?

So, I've a doubt with the TPS max, but it's only for Hardware SSL no ? (I not need hardware ssl)

Thanks

  • it depends on your ssl key size, too. The specs are only for 2k keys. If you use 4k keys, the ssl performance is about 30% of 2k keys for the 4200v. So, you have to think about the future.

Hardware ssl is allways included ;-)

Thanks for your answer. Ok, Hardware SSL is always included but not inevitably use ? In this case, I must consider the TPS parameter ?
