Single network implementation of LTM
I'm attempting to get the F5 Virtual Edition LTM 11.3 trial up and running, having a few issues.
This is for initial testing, so I would rather not make all types of vlan changes and create networks in vmware just to test this thing.
So, I have a single network 10.2.0.0/24. It looks like I can't set a self IP and the management interface on same network.
Is there a round about way of implementing that?
If that is not the case, is there any config's that work on a single network?
Thanks.

I ran into the exact same issue. I got around it by adding a second vswitch in vmware and just connecting the management interface to it. You don't need connectivity to the management interface and can still manage the F5 via the self IP. It's been working fine in this scenario for years!

Yeah.
You can't run management on same VLAN as the public interfaces. Not possible. However there's nothing that says you have to have the management interface working... If it's just for testing (I wouldn't recommend this for a real running instance) you could configure the mgmt interface on a fake IP and just not use it.
