Mar 28, 2008show a different ip address
hi
i need some help, i would like to know if it was possible to show an ip address that it doesn't exist.
I explain, i use snat to change the ip address of one of the server into a virtual address, but i would like that if i send a mail, the address that people can see it's not the virtual address but an other.
is it possible to do that or not?
many thanks for the answer
and if i'm not clear tell me, i'm french so my english is... french english :|

Hi,
You can't with an iRule update the source IP address directly
the only thing you may do is create a snatpool with the other ip address and depending on some criteria make the BIGIP change the source ip address by the ip contained in the snatpool

to be more clear, i want hide the ip for "client" who will receive the mail, but i want the other dns recognize us...
is it possible by an iRule?
