should HTTP::header exists <name> return true for empty headers?
it seems that HTTP::header exists "random-header" doesn't return true if random-header exists but is empty.
is this expected behaviour or am I doing something wrong?

I've done a quick test in a lab and I see the same symptons i.e. header exists but blank doesn't return as true. TMOS 11.4.1 for info.

There's a ton of debate amongst those that like to argue the semantics of RFC 2616, and many applications that do in fact ignore empty headers. I can't say definitively, but it would appear the designers of the HTTP "HUD" filter in LTM took a stand on one side of that argument.
thanks nathan and kevin, already expected something like that. personally tested with 10.2.4 and a lower 11.x one so i assume this is normal behaviour and updated the HTTP::header wiki page with that info.
