Hello, has anyone tried using SharePoint 2007 web analytics but can't get meaningful results because all the IPs passing through the proxy server show one IP? I'm hoping this is a configuration issue...or easy work-around...thanks in advance for your help...

Question for you...the term proxy server can mean many different things. Are you referring to a BIG-IP, or another device? If we're talking about a BIG-IP, there's a check box in the http profile, called x-forward. This is a fancy way of telling the BIG-IP to preserve the originating IP address. If your proxy server is another device, I'd suggest looking for a similar setting to preserve the client IP. In either case, that may help with the issue at hand. - Eric_25898

I believe it is Big-IP...they tell me the device is about five years old...has Big-IP been around that long? If so, has that config setting you mentioned been around equally as long? I'm sorry I don't have more info but I literally started this job two days ago; when I heard that they can't track web analytics because all they see is one IP, I thought that doesn't make sense...there must be a solution...thanks for your quick response! I can obtain more detailed info if needed... - Eric_25898
