Setting Pool Role Permissions in BIG-IQ

I can set Role Permissions in BIG-IQ through the web interface. As I have >1000 pools, is there a way that permissions can be assigned through either tmsh or REST? I don't even want to think about doing this manually. I would also need a way to verify assignments going forward. Verifying them manually is not an option. We're running v5.1.0 Thanks.
