Setting persistance for non-web based apps

I'm working on setting up a new profile for an app that runs on TCP104, and doesn't go over a browser (at least I don't think it does).

 

What are the best options for setting persistence on the VIP for setups like this? I have a feeling this will come up more in the future.

    IP persistence appears to be the simplest option. You can try to write an iRule for persistence based out of incoming packet information.

    Persistence must be set to force a session over multiple tcp connections to stay on the same server!

     

    If you don’t know how the application works, are you sure you require persistence?

     

    Does a session is created over multiple tcp connections?
