Setting maximum request size?
Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to set a maximum request size (headers + body) per Virtual Server / Policy? For example, I want any request larger than 1MB to a given Virtual Server to be blocked. I assume it can be done with an iRule, but I figured there may also be a way to do it from the GUI.
I tried adding a wildcard file type with low thresholds, but it doesn't seem to work (I am using SoapUI to send a 1MB request, which passes through successfully).
Is there a different setting somewhere that I should be using?
Thanks, Dan

I am guessing you are POSTing your data using SOAPUI to a URL which does not have any extension? Don't forget the "no_ext" file type. "*" means "any file extension AFTER the dot" e.g ".php" ".aspx" ".py" ".jsp" etc....
Also checkout this F5 Solution in case if you want to do this ASM-wide:

Hope this helps,
