Server side ssl profile

Hi, I want to understand the purpose of adding a certificate and a key for the server side ssl profile. Since the BIG-IP at this side of the comunication is acting as a client to the server.

    Sergio000,

     

    In case the backend server requires client certificate authentication as part of the SSL handshake from bigip to server. As you say, the bigip is then the client so will need to present a certificate.

     

    I don't often see this as being a requirement to be honest.
