  • What version you are on?

    In 10.x

    b failover cable

    In v11.x

    tmsh show sys failover cable

Displays the status that the failover daemon detects on the serial

cable from its failover peer. It also shows what the failover peer

detects on the serial cable. An active BIG-IP will see a zero from its

failover peer. A standby BIG-IP will see a one from its failover peer.

    The output will be:

On Active unit - cable state 0

On Standby unit - cable state 1

If it gives some thing like cable state unset or some error then failover cable is not connected properly

  • what does it mean if on both appliance (active and standby unit) the cable state is "0" And how to check whether the failover port is disabled or enabled? is there a command line to verify that?
