Seemless failover - tcp session

Hi Wanted to do ltm + apm seemless failover Thought I could do it with conection mirroring turned on but https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K09115252 seems to suggest you can't have APM fail over...

Seems like the current suggest from the current support engineer is

 

I need to setup

VS with LTM + connection mirroring

VS with APM with APM HA

 

Wondering what type server should I setup the LTM vs and it really seems like overkill
