I have requirement for create SFTP with sock profile but when im doing sock its asking for dns resolver.
Im trying understand the impact if we add dns resolver on F5 .

I'm not sure what kind of impact you are thinking about, but by adding a DNS resolver, the VS that acts as the SOCKS proxy will know where to direct the connection to when it receives a destination based on a FQDN. It allows you to add different DNS servers for different domains. This can be useful when resolving to internal zones that reside on specific internal networks and extranets.
