Routing mode Vs. inline mode Vs. on-stick
Hi HMB,
Routing mode is basically the LTM acting like a router, where you have defined forwarding virtual server that routes you from one VLAN to another. Inline, as you had mentioned, is where LTM is the default next gw for the servers behind it. On-stick is sometimes called "One-ARM" in the F5 world to describe the configuration where the virtual server and nodes are on the same side of the interface. However, it is not limited to having the nodes be directly on the same network as the LTM.
