Routing for ASM remote logging?

The normal LTM remote logging (System / Logs / Configuration / Remote Logging) has a setting for Local IP, which I assume lets you choose from which interface and IP to send out logs. There doesn't seem to be the same option in an ASM remote logging profile (Security / Event Logs / Logging Profiles).

I can currently not ping the remote log server unless I specify the mgmt interface (ping -I mgmt ). Since logs are not being received, I'm guessing the logs are being sent via another interface. Is that default behavior and is it even possible to send ASM logs via the mgmt interface?
