Returning disabled pool members via an Irule

Hi All

 

I have a query from our development team and wondering the best way to approach it. They want to be able to return the disabled/force offline members.

 

The reason behind it is that we want to look at automated deployments so we would initially disable a pool member return the name of the server and pass this onto another application which will then handle the code deployment.

 

I have had look through the forums and can see their is active_member/lb:status and lb:server but cant find anything that will return the name of disable/offline pool member.

 

Any suggestions welcomed

    Hi Annsar, are you sure you want to do this in irule ? it looks for me more an API request. You can create a script used by deleveloppers with IcontrolAPI (SOAP or REST) to get the list of disabled pool members and then apply you patch campaign.

    you can have access to statistics from the RESP API with following uris :

     

    /mgmt/tm/ltm/pool//stats

     

    /mgmt/tm/ltm/pool//members/stats
