retransmission interval for SYN

Is it possible to set this ? I saw a server behind sNAT take 4.5 seconds to respond to a SYN because it was busy. before sNAT the windows client would have silently handled this. with sNat the f5 resets the user connection as it's 3 SYN retries seem to be 250ms apart

Valid Range: 0 - 0xFFFFFFFF
Default: 2
Description: This parameter determines the number of times that TCP retransmits a connect request (SYN) before aborting the attempt. The retransmission timeout is doubled with each successive retransmission in a particular connect attempt. The initial timeout value is three seconds.

    ok, it's not possible , and in my case it's a bug

     

     

    SOL11073: Change in Behavior: The minimum TCP retransmission timeout was changed in BIG-IP version 10.1.0.

     

     

    and is fixed in Hotfix-BIGIP-10.1.0-3372.0-HF1 , though it will still be shorter than windows on 3 retries
