Replacing GTM 10.x w/ 12.x

Hi,

 

I am planning a change to replace a GTM deployment of two appliances running 10.x code with new appliances running 12.x

 

The new devices have identical configuration and this will essentially be a hot-swap.

 

My question is, when I remove one of the appliances from the 10.x deployment and install the new one... Will the new device attempt iQuery synchronization with the opposite 10.x appliance? Will that work?

 

My goal in any case is to replace both at more or less the same time, but there will be a few minutes where I will be running 12.x in one location and 10.x in the other. I'm just wondering what implications that will have, if any.

    I would recommend opening up a case with F5 before upgrading as you are jumping a major version (11.x)

     

    Adding the new GTM device (11.x) to the old infrastructure running 10.x did not cause any noticeable downtime based on a single maintenance that I had executed earlier. You would have to be careful and make sure that the following are executed on the new GTM:

    gtm_add
