Replace client request for www2 with www

Hi all,

I have an urgent requirement (which we are unable to resolve using DNS or hostfiles for reasons which are irrelevant here).

A client makes a request https://www2.server.com. I need the F5 to rewrite that request and forward to the appropriate pool (www_pool), so that the pool members see the request as https://www.server.com. The server will respond with further URI's all of which will begin with 'www.server.com', so I need to re-write these responses also, so that the client always receives 'www2.server.com'.

It is in effect a simple find and replace. So a client to server packet will have 'www2' changed to 'www'. A server to client packet will have 'www' changed to 'www2'.

Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Arch.
