Remote logging and remote high-speed logging

Hello,

What is the difference between remote logging and remote high-speed logging? When I use one or other?

  • Remote Logging is logging via the local syslogd service through the Management interface (control plane).

Remote logging should be used to send management and service logs to a syslog server.

Remote High-Speed Logging is direct logging from tmm (data plane).

High-speed logging is much faster and consumes fewer resources.

If you need to extract and log data from connections using an irule, then the logs should be sent via HSL to a pool of syslog servers.
