Aug 06, 2010reloading external datagroup remotely
We are trying to implement iRule solution to dynamically disable certain url patterns. I came up with the idea of using external datagroup and update this datagroup when ever we want new url patterns to be disbabled. However, i am having difficulties on reloading external datagroup remotely.
Is there any way we can reload the datagroup without requiring the admin privilege and/or without ssh/remote login to F5 shell?
one idea i would like to explore (if it is possible) is to have a separate iRule that triggers datagroup reload (of another iRule)
F5 version is 10.0.1

yes, if you look at the comments section.. it seems like this method doesnt work on 10.x version - hoolio

I just tested on 10.2 via the GUI by changing the access mode of an external datagroup back and forth to force a reload of the file. This worked okay. I assume it should work via iControl as well.
