Mar 18, 2013Redirection multiple times iRule question
The best way for me to put it is to explain it in the form of a scenario, here it is:
- . Example: If you go to a website from a mobile device, using irules, the system will direct you to the mobile site.
- At the bottom of the page it will often have a link allowing you to 'go to the full site'.
- If someone were to click this I will like the irule to remember that this device was directed to the full site, so that the next time someone tried to access this site from the same mobile device it will take you to the full site(main site).

Because you need this to persist across access sessions, your best bet is a persistent cookie (a cookie with an expiration date). Then your iRule simply needs to check for the existence (and value) of the cookie. If it's not there, default to the mobile redirect.
