Random logout of the BigIP

While working in one of our BigIPs, I will randomly get logged out. Sometimes it happens immediately after logging in, and sometimes I'll be working for hours and all of the sudden BAM! Logs me out. The message I get when it kicks me off is the following

"Your login credentials are no longer valid Wed Feb 04 14:30:48 2015

Your login credentials have either expired or are no longer valid for one of the following reasons:

•Your login credentials have expired For security purposes, your login credentials are automatically expired after an extended time of inactivity. Administrators can modify the idle time before login credentials automatically expire in the System ›› Preferences section. •Your login credentials are no longer valid Changes made to your user account such as updating your password, changing your administrative role, or deleting your account have caused your credentials to become invalid. To access the Configuration utility, you need to log in again."

My role is setup as an Administrator. When it does happen, it tends to come in waves. I can get kicked out five times in five minutes or go an hour without incident. There are several other people in our company who are administrators as well that do not have this issue at all. Any help will be appreciated.

  • Are you using the standard maintenance a/c to log in? (admin) or is this a custom user a/c that was created? Is the auth local or thru a TACACS/RADIUS server? Was a remote role group used for this?

Does this happen when you ssh in to the box?

I receive the same error message as AWalden but in different scenario: I have two bigip (BIG-IP 10.2.0 Build 1789.0 Hotfix HF2) set as redundant, one is active while the other is standby. I login to bigip1 via the web, i open a new window in the browser and login to Bigip2, it works but i get logged-out from BigIP1 with the same error message mentioned in AWalden question. Any help is appreciated.

  • I have this issue as well, using multiple browsers. Has anyone else seen this and resolved it?
