Aug 06, 2008RAM Cache not working!
For some reason none of our pages are getting cached on the Big-IP.
Even a page that I pinned is not getting cached, though.
Profile settings:
RAM Cache: Enabled
Max Cache Size: 60 MB
Max Entries: 0
Max Age: 600 seconds
Min Object Size: 500 bytes
Max Object Size: 150000 bytes
URI Caching: URI List
Pin List: /xyz.html
Include List: /
Ignore Headers: All
Insert Age Header: Enabled
Aging Rate: 5
As far as I can tell no iRules have any caching directives.
Any other places where caching may be turned off?
BTW, the Performance chart for the RAM Cache utilization is completely flat (0).

Here's the scoop. According to the documentation, setting Max Entries to "0" means unlimited entries:
Maximum Entries
Specifies the maximum number of entries that can be in the RAM cache. The default is 0, which means that the system does not limit the maximum entries.
However, it looks like the Big-IP (v. 9.4.3) interprets "0" as "0" (zero), and not as unlimited. Increasing the Max Entries did the trick and our pages and other elements are now being cached properly. - Mike_L__62783

We just ran into the same issue. Is this a known bug? We are running 9.4.7. Thanks for the post.
