Radius Monitor for IAS servers

I currently have two MS IAS radius servers that I am load balancing. I tried the canned Radius monitor, but it attempts to authentication via PAP. I have PAP disable on the radius servers and want to leave it that way. Has anyone created a Radius monitor on udp 1812 CHAP?

    Has anyone been able to make Radius work with something other than PAP? I am having a really difficult time enabling either radius or ldap based authentication for mgmt!
