Query related to DDOS Hybrid Defender

I am using two DHD box in transparent mode (L2 Bridge Mode) in active standby state. I have not configured any IP address on interfaces but i am using one ip address on HA interface. suppose i am using the 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2 on HA interfaces. When i an tracing any IP address from out side then it is going from DHD box and in trace 1.1.1.1 IP is showing. I am understanding that when i am using the DHD box in L2 mode why HA interface IP is coming in trace route. Could you help me please for the same.
