PVA assisted mode and tcpdump

I was wondering if PVA assisted mode has any affect on what is captured in a tcpdump. We use an ip-any wildcard VIP using fastl4 and I am seeing many TCP SYNs but no replies even though the communication is working. We are also running v10.2.
