proxy destination address can only be an IP address

I'm using E-Commerce Controller 540 with the FIPS compliant card v4.5.13.

We have servers that currently make https connections outbound to URLs that are Globally Load Balanced.

We would like for them to be able to make an http connection to the ECC (so that the IDSs can see whats going out) and then configure a proxy with a domain name, however, the ECC only allows an IP address to be able to entered into the Proxy Destination Address rather than a domain name. Kinda weird given the fact that F5 makes 3DNS.

Have any of you run into an issue like this? Also, is there anyway that I could write a script that does nslookup on the domain name and updates the proxy destination address dynamically?

Thanks....
