proxy and interconnect help

So according to your diagram, you haves BIG-IPin front of the proxy and another in front of the interconnect. Is there a 1-to-1 relationship between a proxy and interconnect? If not, it should be pretty straight forward. Load balance the proxies and interconnects independently. If there is a dependency, you may want to consider a transparent monitor "through" each proxy to the interconnects. As far as monitoring, it depends on the object being monitored. A web services monitor would probably look like a normal HTTP monitor.
