Programmatically read Log from powershell icontrol?

I've been struggling with this for a while now too as I've been trying to get log viewing in the iRule Editor. The problem is that with iControl the mechanism is to use the ConfigSync.download_file command but due to the way the method works with paging (you request chunks at a time), you may never get to the end of the file as it's ever growing. We really need a "tail" like command to get you the last "n" lines from a file but that isn't in there yet. The only option I can think of is to find a SSH client library for PowerShell and use that to remotely get the contents of the log file. Anyone have other ideas?
