I have a question. A telnet to a virtual server using port 8800 does not work but a telnet to a pool member works. Is there a setting in the virtual server preventing me from doing so? ...

Employeei do not see any suspicious in the configuration. so, can you capture packet to see what the wrong is?
e.g.
tcpdump -nni 0.0:nnn -s0 -w /var/tmp/output.pcap port 7001 -v
