Priority Group Nodes to mimic Cisco ACE backup pool. Need to alert on when we go to backup nodes
Looking in the LTM logs I see no way to alert me when a node priority group goes to the alternate nodes. I'm trying to mimic a Cisco ACE where they use backup serverfarms/pools so I want to know when I on the backup nodes. Just trying to pick it out of the LTM logs but not seeing anything that I can key on.

I figured out a work around by creating another pool with just the high priority servers in it and used this as just an alerting pool using the same monitor probe. If someone can figure out how to alert on my old set up please drop a note in here.

I believe your work around is probably the best solution as the log your looking for is likely only generated when we adjust the LTM logging for the Traffic Management OS logs under System ›› Logs : Configuration : Options : Local Traffic Logging to log informational severity logs. This will create more noise than just the priority group log and it will be applied to all virtual servers therefore it may not be the best solution.
