Primary DNS / VIP URL

My company just introduced GTM and LTM's, (I have used them in the past , but it's been a while since i have been on a console ) we have a primary dns for an application, someapp.domain.net but have seen the domain change to www1.domain.net. I did this is the past to keep the url, but forget how. Not sure if this is x-foward or and url rewrite via irule. any help would be appreciated.

 

Again GTM>LTM> someapp.domain.net > VIP(www1.domain.net)need to keep someapp.domain.net. we believe the is breaking our application via session.

    if they were just introduced is the company / person who introduced them still around to do some explaining? would be easier then trouble shoot via a website.

     

    you are looking for a iRule and / or stream profile to change the hostname. better would be to have the backend website (www1.domain.net) not return the hostname at all.

     

    some searching here for rewrite hostname would probably get you going again.
