Port removal from URL
I have a scenario where once the user connects to the application and they choose "getIT", for example, the connection is directed to a VIP that uses port 81. In the browser the URL is displayed as https://getIT.com:81/_catalogs/masterpage/Forms/AllItems.aspx. Is there a way to have the URL in the browser show up as https://getIT.com/_catalogs/masterpage/Forms/AllItems.aspx where ":81" does not show up?
Thanks,

Browsers will display uncommon ports. However, you could set up a VIP for port 80 and use port translation. The pool would be for port 81, but since the user connects to the VIP on port 80 the address bar in the browser will simply show the 'regular' URL.
