Pool Member initiate TCP SYNC to F5
Hi Guys,
I'm new to F5. i found that this load balancer is complicated yet amazing :) i have a condition where pool member need to open connection with TCP(using random port) to F5. but unfortunately. F5 send TCP RST back to the pool member which initiated the TCP connection. Does pool member can initiate TCP connection to the F5? then F5 continue the tcp connection to the client?

A pool member can open connection if a listener is there. So you have to create a Virtual Server with the correct IP and port. You can use wildcard if port is random.

Based on SOL8082, TCP SYN to pool member should be initiated by F5 , unless you have a listener, which means you create a virtual server that listen to incoming traffic from pool member.

It sounds like you are trying to reach a client in a different subnet via the LTM, is this correct? If that's the case you will most likely need to configure a Forwarding IP virtual server and possibly a route if the client is not reachable via layer 2 from the LTM. https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/7000/500/sol7595.html

Thanks Guys, for current solution proposed by my vendor is by using a workaround initiated from client side :)
